Yu Yi said at a regular press conference held recently that according to the investigation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the problems reflected by foreign trade enterprises mainly focus on the following aspects:

Sea freight is still high; Prices of energy and raw materials continue to rise; The bottleneck of global supply chain has not been alleviated, and the shortage of important raw materials such as chips continues to plague enterprises; The Russian-Ukrainian conflict brings more uncertainty.

Yu Yi said that foreign trade enterprises doing business with Russia and Ukraine are obviously affected by exchange rate fluctuations, difficulties in foreign exchange settlement, rising prices of bulk commodities and raw materials, traffic congestion and delays, etc.

According to the survey of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China's foreign investment increased by 2.2% in 2021. At present, Chinese enterprises are facing new risks and challenges when investing abroad, and the epidemic situation and political instability are the most important non-commercial difficulties encountered by enterprises.

Yu Yi said that CCPIT will strengthen enterprise services in four aspects: trade and investment promotion, commercial legal services, participation in global economic governance, and construction of applied think tanks. Including comprehensively strengthening the promotion and professional training of free trade agreements such as RCEP; Constantly optimize the cross-border trade and investment legal comprehensive support platform 'Trade Law'; Actively organize representatives of Chinese enterprises to participate in industrial and commercial cooperation under multilateral mechanisms.

'It is particularly important to boost the confidence of global business cooperation.' According to Yu Yi, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will hold the BRICS Business Forum this year, and the second BRICS Women's Innovation Competition has been officially launched.
