From the coast of the East China Sea to the roof of the world, from the northern desert to Lingnan, China's wind power industry has gone through the 'pioneering' road of 'going up the mountain and down the sea' for nearly 40 years.

According to the latest data of the national energy administration, the installed capacity of wind power grid connection in China has exceeded 300 million KW, which is 1.4 times that of the EU and 2.6 times that of the United States by the end of 2020, ranking first in the world.

A number of major technological breakthroughs

In recent years, represented by green hydrogen production technology, a number of key clean energy parts, materials, technologies and processes in China have made breakthroughs, providing strong support for major project construction and industrial development, and also reflecting the increasing momentum of high-quality economic development in China.

Green hydrogen is known as the cleanest fuel. On November 30, Sinopec Xinjiang Kuqa green hydrogen demonstration project started construction, with an annual output of 20000 tons of green hydrogen.

This is the first 10000 ton green hydrogen production project in China. It generates electricity through renewable energy such as photovoltaic, and then produces hydrogen through electrolytic water. There is basically no greenhouse gas in the production process, and carbon emission is eliminated from the source. Meanwhile, all major equipment, machinery and core materials are localized.

In the past month, PetroChina has successively put into operation six geothermal clean heating projects in xiong'an new area, Tangshan, Dezhou and other places, with a new heating area of more than 9 million square meters, providing a new choice for low-carbon urban energy consumption.

Geothermal energy is a clean and renewable energy. PetroChina has formed supporting technologies for geothermal development and utilization, and geothermal exploration technology and high-temperature drilling and completion technology have reached the international advanced level. Sandstone economic Reinjection Technology, transformation of abandoned wells into geothermal wells and medium and deep hydrothermal geothermal heating technology are leading in China.

In Yinchuan, Ningxia, the Ningmei coal to liquid project of the national energy group is located here. There are many towers and pipelines in the plant area, which can produce about 4.05 million tons of oil products every year.

The coal to oil industry of national energy group mainly involves coal to oil, coal to olefin, coal to methanol and other businesses. It has broken the monopoly of foreign countries on core technologies and obtained patent authorization from the United States, Japan and other places, marking that China has become the only country in the world that has mastered two coal to oil technologies: direct liquefaction of million ton coal and indirect liquefaction of coal at the same time.

Nuclear cogeneration turns on zero carbon heating

In the field of nuclear energy, a number of new formats and models are emerging. 'Old trees sprout new buds' fully reflects that China's energy enterprises are accelerating the use of new technologies and ideas to develop new products, expand new business formats and open up new models, so as to promote economic innovation and development.

In Haiyang, Shandong, 'warm core No. 1' heating project was officially put into operation recently, and Haiyang has become the first 'zero carbon' heating city in China.

This is a nuclear heating project built by the state power investment and construction, covering 200000 residents in the whole urban area of Haiyang. It uses the high temperature generated by the nuclear power unit for heating. After the project is put into operation, Haiyang nuclear power unit 1 has become the largest cogeneration unit in the world, replacing 12 local coal-fired boilers, and reducing 180000 tons of carbon dioxide in each heating season.

At present, the scientific research of heating 30 million square meters by a single nuclear power unit is being promoted, and the heating range can cover an area of 130 kilometers.

Wu Fang, chairman of Shandong Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. under the State Power Investment Corporation, said that nuclear heating extracts part of the generated steam from the nuclear power generator set as the heat source, and changes it into high-temperature water through the heat exchanger in the plant. The high-temperature water is then transmitted to the heat exchange station of each heating company for isolated heat exchange through the pipe network, and then sent to the heat exchange station of each community. The whole process has only heat transfer and no water exchange to ensure safety and reliability.

Xiu Binglin, deputy director of China Nuclear Power Development Center, said that after more than 40 years of sustainable development, the scale and quality of China's nuclear power development have reached a new level. At present, China has 51 nuclear power units in operation with an installed capacity of 53.28 million KW, and 20 units under construction with an installed capacity of 22.7 million KW. As of October, the cumulative power generation of nuclear power in China was 335.4 billion kwh, equivalent to saving about 100 million tons of standard coal and reducing nearly 275 million tons of carbon dioxide.
